Web Design Projects

Fun, Frolics, Boredom blog

I designed my personal blog to look radically different to any of the other website I had created before. I wanted a vibrant, loose feel design, yet wanted to construct the page using as many text elements as possible.

The concept I came up with was to use a bright, zappy pink text on a dark blue background. I used pieces of torn paper to place onto the background, so that it would resemble a work space.

The thumbnail pictures would have a border which would give them an unusual shape, to fit in with the torn paper theme. This made the page look less confined, which I have done previous web design project.

On the finished website I used pictures of some of my possessions placed around the page, so that it would further resemble a working space. I also placed drawn lines on the bottom of each article, which tied in the pencil object.

The finished website uses fully valid XHTML and CSS, as with all my other projects.
