My pond is located at geocode coordinates (Longitude -1.522657871246338, Latitude -53.70075257449185), also known as my back garden. The pond is around 8ft wide by 4ft depth, with a height of 1.5 ft.
There are many forms of wildlife which appear around the pond during the course of the year. These include frogs, toads, dragonflies, beetles, blackbirds, ants, and a whole range of other creepy crawlies which usually make their way into the house.
One icy winter's day, Timmy, our beloved white cat (who has one yellow eye, and one blue eye) decided to walk over the frozen pond. To Timmy's dismay, the ice around him started to crack, and an inevitable and fast descent into the freezing water followed, much to the delight of my Father watching from the dining room window.
Timmy, being a proud and dignified cat, pulled himself out of the water, and walked off as though nothing had happened.
Along with all the other wildlife which live around the pond, we have a collection of Goldfish which live in the pond. This started with a single fish (Imaginatively named "Mr Fish") before he was joined by several other Goldfish which we bought so that he had some company.
We do occasionally see a small, brown fish, which we think could be a Carp.
In the summer months many Water Lilies bloom on the surface of the pond. Due to this years wet summer, there have not been as many as in previous years.
