About
This Fender Jap Strat is a 1994 model in white, and has been customized with a comic book scratch plate. The fret board is made of rosewood, as opposed to maple for a warmer, bass heavy sound. It uses a five way selector switch to select different combinations of the 3 pickups.
How it works
The single coil pickup uses a series of six magnets wrapped in copper wire. These six poles correspond to a string on the guitar, and when a string is struck the vibration generates a small electrical signal through the circuit. This is then sent through the output jack and into an amplifier to increase the volume of the guitar.
This guitar has had the scratch plate removed and covered in comic books. This was inspired by artists such as Green Day, who often used comics to customize clothing and instruments.
Where is it now?
This guitar is still used on occasion, and is in full working condition. It has been fitted with heavy gauge strings to provide a deeper tone, and is suited for a rock style of play.
