This pair of speakers is housed inside a thick, veneered wooden cabinet which holds three speaker units. This includes a bass driver, mid level driver and a treble driver, which have all been heavily used in the 35 years they have been in the family. They have been taken from parties, new houses and were also stored away for a number of years.
How they work
The large speakers are mounted on two solid metal stands which allow for the speakers to be mounted flat, or at a five degree angle depending on preference. The speakers can be connected to an amplifier using the left and right speaker terminals on the back of the units. Two sets of speakers could be used for quadraphonic sound, so long as the correct equipment was used with the units.
Where are they now?
The speakers are still in use today, having recently set up on a new hi-fi system. The sound quality is still good, as they provide good sound coverage for the room they are now placed in.
